๐ฟ The Dream of the Aunt Be Botanicals Apothecary Studio ๐ฟ
A behind-the-scenes look at the dream of the Aunt Be Botanicals apothecary studio and the next chapter of handcrafted skincare in Boulder City.
Concept design of the future Aunt Be Botanicals apothecary studio โ a warm herbal workspace with organized botanical ingredients, storage racks, and a central table for creating handcrafted skincare in Boulder City.
For years, Aunt Be Botanicals has been created right in my kitchen.
Every lotion, balm, serum, toner, and soap has been handcrafted in small batches first at my home in San Diego and now here in in Boulder City. While Iโve always loved the heart and warmth of that process, Iโve also been dreaming about something bigger โ a dedicated creative space where Aunt Be Botanicals can truly grow.
Today I want to share that vision.
A Studio Designed for Creation
The dream is a beautiful Aunt Be Botanicals Apothecary Studio โ a cozy workspace where herbs, oils, and botanical ingredients are organized, accessible, and ready for creating.
Along the back wall will be built-in apothecary shelving filled with jars of dried herbs, essential oils, carrier oils, and all the ingredients that go into my handcrafted skincare. I will also use them to display my finished products with new beautifully designed labels. These shelves will become the heart of the studio โ a true herbal workspace.
On both sides of the studio will be rolling metal storage racks holding packaging, supplies, and ingredients. Having everything organized and within reach will make production smoother and allow me to focus on what I love most: creating products that help people care for their skin naturally.
A Workspace for Making and Filming
At the center of the studio will be a large work table where the magic happens โ blending oils, pouring lotions, labeling jars, and preparing orders.
The space will also be designed to allow me to film videos and create content, sharing more of the behind-the-scenes process with you. Iโm excited to be able to show:
โข how products are made
โข herbal ingredients and their benefits
โข small-batch skincare techniques
โข new product experiments
โข the daily life of running a handmade botanical business
This studio will make it possible to share much more of the Aunt Be Botanicals story.
A Utility Sink for Practical Magic
One simple feature Iโm especially excited about is a utility sink. Anyone who makes skincare products knows how important cleanup is when working with oils, waxes, and botanical ingredients.
Having a dedicated sink in the studio will make washing tools, containers, and equipment much easier and keep everything clean and efficient.
Moving Aunt Be Botanicals Out of the Kitchen
The biggest step this studio represents is something many small business owners will understand.
It means moving Aunt Be Botanicals out of my kitchen and into its own creative space.
For years my home kitchen has served as my production area. While it has worked, the dream has always been to have a separate studio where I can fully focus on formulating, creating, filming, and growing the business.
This apothecary studio would finally give Aunt Be Botanicals a true home.
A Dream Rooted in Boulder City
Aunt Be Botanicals began as a small dream in San Diego inspired by natural skincare, herbal ingredients, and the desire to create products that truly help people. You may have met me when I had booths in that area at various farmersโ markets and local events.
This studio would allow that dream to grow while staying rooted right here in Boulder City, where every product continues to be handcrafted in small batches.
Thank you for supporting this journey, believing in small businesses, and being part of the Aunt Be Botanicals community.
More updates to come as this dream continues to unfold.
